Here’s what Obinna wrote “Emeka Ugwuonye of DPA, that man who is investigating the cause of looking for that missing lady Charity, is a scam until proven otherwise. You start a pro-bono cause, then in the middle of the game you start charging membership fees.Meanwhile you and your minions maligned and castigated other well meaning Nigerians who equally cared about Charity, but were asking logical questions.
Running on emotions of Nigerians for “worthy causes” to carry out activities that are not transparent seems to be the in-thing. The new face of fraud seems to have gone into the emotional realm.
Nigerians, please support whatever cause you want, but please do so with all your senses in tact.
People who engage in worthy causes should be commended, but that should NEVER translate to a sense of entitlement. I am convinced Nigeria really needs a regulatory body for charities. These controversies will only increase in number, and the public goodwill only gets depleted.
And in all these, the only loser becomes the person for whom the cause was initiated.”
However, it should be noted that the sole aim of creating Due Process Advocates was to have an “authentic voice for justice, fairness, equity and right to the pursuit of happiness” and not to raise funds. The Group info screenshots are below;
Screenshots of the group information shows that Mr. Obinna’s “blast”, was a call to bring Mr. Emeka back on track, to achieve the sole aim of creating the Due Process Group.
This is however not the first time Mr. Emeka has been accused of being a fraud.
In 2011, he was arraigned by EFCC  for duping the Nigerian Government of one million, five hundred and fifty thousand US dollars. A crime which he allegedly committed in the United States. He was ordered by a U.S court to refund the stolen money which amounts to N234Million to Nigeria, a judgement which he appealed and lost. It should be noted that this led to his subsequent relocation to Nigeria to set up a law firm (ECULAW). Reacting to the judgement passed by the U.S court, Nigerian ambassador to the United States, Adebowale Adefuye, described the judgment as a vindication of his stand that Mr. Ugwuonye and his company had defrauded the Nigerian people.
This guy has played all manner of tricks to scare us away from trying him for fraud, Mr. Adefuye said. He wrote all kinds of lies to smear my character and that of the embassy. He fought us but we remained firm. Now his days of reckoning have come and this is a message to people like him that the war against corruption is on course and that we will fight corrupt elements no matter whose ox is gored. The money he took with recklessness and impunity belongs to the Nigerian people and I can be here and not recover it.Click here here to read more.
Obinna’s case against Mr. Ugwuonye on Facebook, saw comments from Amanda Chisom (A Social Media Activist) and Viola Ifenyinwa. Reacting to the comments, Mr. Emeka, who should have clarified the public and his followers; on the need for the proposed membership fee for his group, however chose to engage in the act of mud slinging and defamation.
Mr. Emeka who had once been sued by Lauretta Onochie, a member of President Muhammadu Buhari media support team, for defamation over Mr. Ugwuonye post on Facebook alleging that Ms. Onochie was “running an international human trafficking ring decided to tow those paths again.
Responding to the comments hastily, Mr. Emeka made a case against Mr. Obinna, calling him a fraud in a post he captioned “A man I investigated for fraud, turned around to call me a fraud”.
Here’s a screenshot of the post;
If the case against Mr. Obinna is valid, Mr. Emeka shouldn’t be soliciting for witnesses since he already has a witness who complained to him, which is enough to win their case against Mr. Obinna.
Mr. Ugwuonye’s mudslinging didn’t end there, he went on to accuse Amanda, making an incoherent case against her, claiming he threw herself to him, sent him nudes and even slept with his gatemen.
Mr. Emeka’s story with Amanda started in 2014. The “brillant” lawyer had made advances to Amanda which got them a Facebook Friend relationship, which he claimed to be an act he engaged in to gain a better understanding of Amanda’s persona.
Coming over to Lagos for Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign on March 1, Amanda felt she could use the help of our dear friend and barrister Mr. Emeka Ugwuonye of Due Process Advocates, who she has been building a Facebook relationship with; as she had soiled her dress with vomits as a result of the air travel.
From the above screenshots, Mr. Emeka Ugwuonye was never informed of Amanda’s trip to Lagos and his surprise of the uninformed call was felt from the chat(Note the date and time of the chats above). It was even made clear that all she needed from him was a hotel and boutique address on the island. Mr. Ugwuonye on the other hand, decided to first bring her to his house (reasons for this is yet to be deciphered or will be better explained by the Barrister), before giving her the hotel and boutique address she asked for.

Amanda, feeling secure with the Facebook relationship she has built with Mr. Ugwwuonye, arrived at his house, we suppose by 2pm (Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign must have started by then, even if its on Nigerian time) and left after getting a new dress and the hotel address she asked for and didn’t return; thereby flawing Mr. Ugwuonye’s claim of she (Amanda) requesting to come to his house, being relegated to the boys quarter, being invited upstairs by 8:30pm and relegated again to sleep with his driver and gateman by 9pm.
Note the date and time of the chat below and compare with Mr. Emeka’s claim above that Amanda Chisom slept over at his place on her visit to Lagos;
With the revelation made from the chats above, it seems Mr. Emeka Ugwuonye, is neck deep in the act of character assasination and lying, while claiming to be a messiah, seeking to be an “authentic voice for justice, fairness, equity and right to the pursuit of happiness”. One then wonders if lying brings “happiness” or was that a due process of defence when held accountable for self-directed decisions?
Mr Emeka is a typical example of an educated African who never fails to engage in slut-shaming when held responsible for errors on his path. Calling a woman a slut is an attempt to take away her power, and demean her for being sexual, even if she’s never had a single sexual encounter in her life. It prioritizes modesty and perceived innocence above all else, and often includes intimations about a woman’s class, intelligence, and overall worth. Because of all of this, slut-shaming is basically the least one who professes love for humanity can do.
It should also be noted that Mr. Emeka Ugwuonye is liar whose words can’t be held on to for a minute. The man who said she (Amanda) had sex with his driver and gateman, is now defending himself, saying he never slut-shamed her. That this man still has followers beats our imagination.
Amanda’s headiness to hold on to her stand of Mr. Emeka apologizing and accounting for his proposed “membership fee” shouldn’t be overlooked; as this will add to the “brillant” lawyer’s egocentrism, as he has over 100,000 members on his public group (Due Process Advocates) on Facebook and have sworn that he is a faithful husband, a great dad and a man with class.
In all fairness, it will be welcomed, if he produces proofs of counter claims to this report and also produces the supposed nudes Amanda Chisom sent him.
Meanwhile here’s the only nude we could lay hands on.
